ICNS 2008 Presentations and Proceedings Availability

Presentations and Proceedings from ICNS Conference 2008 will be made available in the upcoming weeks.

Presentations will be made available on the ICNS Conference website in late May, as soon as a majority of presenter permissions have been received. An email announcement will be sent to the general ICNS Conference mailing list once the presentations are posted.

Proceedings CD-ROMs will be mailed to registered attendees of the ICNS Conference approximately by mid-June. Attendees should refer to their registration receipt for confirmation of whether a proceedings CD-ROM was included with their individual registration. This CD-ROM will include both presentations and papers from the conference. An email announcement will be sent to these attendees as soon as their copies are placed in the mail.

Others wishing to access papers from the 2008 ICNS Conference can do so through the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Last Day to Register for the Early Rate

The last day to register to receive the early conference rate is Thursday, May 1 at midnight (Eastern Time US). After that time, the registration fee increases, including onsite/walk-in registration.

Speakers/Authors & Session Chairs: Please indicate on the registration form your category registration rate if you are a “Plenary Speaker” (morning session), “Technical Session Chair” or “Technical Speaker” (afternoon session).

Donna McLean, Amtrak, to be Monday Dinner Speaker

Donna McLean, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), will be the featured speaker at the Monday evening dinner at the 2008 ICNS Conference.

Ms. McLean will be speaking about the case for bimodal air-rail transportation policy for congested corridors. (more…)

Less than One Month to Go!

I would like to personally encourage you to attend this year’s ICNS Conference to participate in promoting the transformation of air traffic management into the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Our conference theme, Information Takes Flight, reflects the central importance to NextGen (and to SESAR in Europe) of information availability, especially by making aircraft nodes on the network.

Draft ICNS Agenda Now Available

The draft agenda for the 2008 ICNS Conference is now available. Nearly all the afternoon Technical Sessions have been filled. Highlights of the morning Plenary Sessions include the following:

Tuesday: “User Challenges,” Session Chair: Michael Lewis, The Boeing Company

The cut-off date for hotel reservations is Monday, April 21 at 6:00 pm ET; for online registration, Thursday, May 1st at midnight ET.
