ICNS 2019 Workshop Announced

Global Aeronautical Distress & Safety System (GADSS): What You Need to Know

Wednesday, April 10

Chairs: Dr. Lance Sherry (George Mason University), Denise Ponchak (NASA)

The expert panel will be facilitated by Woodrow Bellamy III (Avionics Magazine).

The ability of the air transportation system to maintain a high level of safety is a testament to the operators of the system, as well as the technology and systems implemented to ensure safe operations. The Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADSS) adds another layer to this system to maintain an up‐to‐date record of the aircraft progress in all phases of flight, and, in case of a crash, forced landing or ditching, the location of survivors, the aircraft and recoverable flight data.
